Surrey Guildford was hoping to have their full roster healthy after the break but alas, they had one more week to wait for a full complement of players. Fortunately for SGU, this week's fixture was a make up game against a Langley squad that is struggling near the bottom of the table.

Surrey dominated possession and scoring chances in the first half but had little to show for it with a couple missed opportunities and some strong goalkeeping by the Langley netminder. For the most part, Surrey Guildford was able to spread the field and create quality chances but were a but sluggish in their attack which allowed the hard-working Langley squad to organize behind the ball and take away the lethal opportunities from SGU. Surrey did tally once in the half take a 1-0 lead into the break.

In the second half SGU were able to raise the tempo marginally and Langley began to run out of gas. The sustained pressure and numerous shots on goal eventually broke Langley and their keeper. Although some quality chances were created it was some weaker attempts onto goal that eventually eluded Langley's backstop and put the game out of reach. SGU put up three more goals in the second half for a 4-0 final.

Although certainly not their best performance of the year, SGU returned to league play with a good performance and look well on their way to being prepared for two very tough away matches in the coming week against Victoria and Vancouver. With wins in both matches Surrey Guildford will climb to second in the league; Vancouver, however, is the only team other than the undefeated Burnaby Royals to put up a win against Surrey Guildford.
